Bidding Charge Calculation

In DataDam, the Bidding Charge is the amount a researcher pays to survey respondents. This charge compensates individuals for completing surveys accurately and promptly, and it is dynamically calculated based on two key factors.

1. Response Validity

First and foremost, the legitimacy of a response is paramount. Respondents must read questions carefully and provide thoughtful answers. If a respondent quickly skims through a survey or offers incomplete or random responses, their attempt will be marked as invalid. These invalid responses are discarded, and no reward is given.

This ensures that researchers only receive high-quality data, and respondents are encouraged to offer genuine and detailed answers to earn their reward.

2. Timing of the Response

Secondly, the reward a respondent receives depends on how soon they complete the survey. The earlier the response, the higher the reward.

For instance, if a researcher has set a bid of 35 rupees, the first respondent to complete the survey will receive the full 35 rupees. As more respondents fill out the survey, the amount paid gradually decreases, so the last person to complete it may receive a reward of less than 5 rupees.

Monitoring Behavior for Accurate Data

Although respondents are compensated for their participation, it is essential to emphasize that DataDam closely monitors both the responses and the behavior of each participant. This ensures that the data collected is accurate, clean, and reliable. Our system is designed to detect any irregularities, such as rushed or random responses, to maintain the quality of the data.

Participants who fail to meet the required standards may have their responses discarded, ensuring that only legitimate and thoughtful responses are considered for analysis. This monitoring guarantees that researchers receive valuable and trustworthy data for their studies.

Ensuring Fairness

Through this system, DataDam ensures that researchers pay only for valid, high-quality responses, while respondents are incentivized to participate quickly and attentively, ensuring a fair and balanced system for all involved.
